KEDIT for Windows 1.6, released in December 2007, is available as a free upgrade for licensed users of KEDIT for Windows 1.5.
KEDIT for Windows 1.6 is officially supported on Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Vista. Unofficially, it will probably still work on Windows 98 and Windows Me, but it will not work on Windows 95 or Windows NT.
KEDIT for Windows 1.6 does not include new printed documentation. Instead, full copies of the KEDIT for Windows User's Guide and Reference Manual are included with the program as PDF-format files.

If you are a licensed user of KEDIT for Windows 1.5, you are welcome to download this free upgrade to KEDIT for Windows 1.6.
We suggest that you install the KEDIT for Windows 1.6 into the same directory where KEDIT for Windows 1.5 is currently installed.
Note: KEDIT for Windows 1.6 is a free upgrade only for
licensed users of KEDIT for Windows 1.5.
If you are upgrading from KEDIT for DOS, KEDIT for OS/2, or KEDIT for Windows 1.0, you
will need to purchase the upgrade. If you are
not yet a licensed user of KEDIT, will need to purchase a full license for KEDIT for Windows 1.6.
We recommend that everyone who downloads the KEDIT for Windows 1.6 upgrade sign up for the KEDIT Announcement mailing list, so that we can let you know about any important bugs or compatibility issues that crop up, and send you news about any new maintenance releases of KEDIT.
